- Architecture on Screen '98 Touring Program
After well-attended screenings to enthusiastic audiences in Brooklyn, Boston, and
Washington, DC, the Architecture on Screen '98 festival program will be presented at
Houston's Museum of Fine Arts, October 16-31, and at the Honolulu Academy of Art,
January 6-21.
- Art on Screen Database Update
An updated edition of the Art on Screen Database is now online, with hundreds of new
entries and updated distributor information. Search access is still free of charge.
- NAMAC creates new "Online Support Center for Independent Media"
The National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture (NAMAC) is a national nonprofit
umbrella organization linking media arts-related organizations. On their new
Web site, www.namac.org, visitors can search a comprehensive directory
of media arts organizations to find which offer production equipment, screenings,
classes, funding help, exhibition spaces, and more; view announcements of national
media events, job listings, funding opportunities, and new publications; find
links to other useful media and arts-related sites; learn about NAMAC's upcoming
National Conference and scan a summary of the last conference; read a range
of opinions on the state of the media arts field; and find information on legislation
and policy-related matters.
